How the Media Failed Women in 2013

Education isn’t just about teaching reading, writing and arithmetic.  It’s also our responsibility to grow and develop character in our students along side academic abilities.  As such, I want to share this video on how the media has failed to build an uplifting view of women in our society in 2013.  My hope is that it can be used to spark some crucial conversations about the way women are viewed in our country and what we can do to change this image.  Only by having such conversations can we change the society to one where our young ladies can someday become leaders without the fear of being held back or criticized for many of the stereotypes highlighted in this video.
